We are so happy to have been able to support Katerina from Katerina Kantalis Garden Designs again this year with her Mediterraneo Garden for the RHS Hampton Court Garden Festival this year.
Months of preparation goes into creating a garden for the show, from planning and securing sponsorship to ordering the perfect materials and plants and organising deliveries etc then in just a few weeks the area goes from bare ground to a wonderful established garden!
Drawing inspiration from the Mediterranean, the garden addresses the necessity of climate adaptation in our gardens while providing an escape from the everyday.
Inspired by the warmth and vibrancy of Greek landscapes, it seeks to transplant their iconic features into British gardens. From the rustic allure of terracotta pots and natural limestone features, to the practicality of permeable landscaping and gravel pathways.
Every element is selected to infuse the timeless charm of the Mediterranean into this serene retreat while integrating drought tolerant plants that can adapt to the changing UK climate.
After the judging took place on 2nd July Katerina and her team were delighted to discover that they had won GOLD!

Not only did the garden win a gold award but they also won the award for Best Get Started Garden and the award for Best Construction, this really was an amazing show for the Mediterraneo Garden!
